I’m Jacqueline Morris, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) dually-licensed in California and Nevada.
With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I specialize in supporting adolescents, young adults, BIPOC and Black women navigating trauma, disrupted attachment, and life transitions..
I take an integrative, culturally responsive approach drawing from attachment theory and evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I meet clients where they are—whether we’re processing early trauma, navigating systemic stressors, or building tools for emotional regulation, trust, and self-worth.
My own identity informs my work in meaningful ways. As someone who experienced disrupted attachment and the foster care system, I know what it means to grow up without consistent emotional support. Those early experiences shaped not only who I am, but also why I chose this work. I became a therapist to be for others what I needed but didn’t have—someone who sees you fully, holds space for your healing, and reminds you that you are never too broken to be whole.
Today, I carry that same commitment into my work as a Black woman, a professional, and a mother. These identities inform my approach to therapy in powerful ways. I understand the pressure of being "the strong one," the exhaustion of navigating systems that weren’t built for us, and the deep desire to create generational change.
At ThinkPeace Therapy, we don’t just work through challenges—we honor your story, nurture your strengths, and make space for growth. This is a place to be your full self and find the peace you’ve been craving.
